Walk
Located on Sussex Street, Mt Cook, the Basin Reserve is a short walk from the central business district of Wellington. There are two main entry points to the ground:

  • C S Dempster Gate (North entrance) (located at the top of Kent Terrace)
  • John R Reid Gate (South entrance) (located at the bottom of Adelaide Road)

Travel by train
Numerous services from throughout the Wellington region arrive and depart at the Wellington Railway Station. From the station, the Basin is a short walk through town or a cheap taxi ride. For further information, visit Metlink or call 0800 801 700. Special fares may apply.

Take a bus
There are bus stops on the North (Kent Terrace) and South side of the ground (Adelaide Road).

In the car
While there is no on-site parking at the Basin, there is plenty of public parking within the Wellington City Centre and a short walk from the ground. Please see the Wellington City Council parking website for more details.
